  • Intelligent Scan uses a combination of facial recognition and iris scanning to provide stronger protection for your phone

    Swipe down from the top of the screen

  • 2.

    Tap the Settings icon

  • 3.

    Tap Biometrics and Security

  • 4.

    Tap Intelligent Scan

  • 5.

    Tap Continue

  • 6.

    Select a secure screen lock type. In this example, we will select PIN

    If you have already created a secure lock type, you can skip to step 9

  • 7.

    Enter a PIN and then tap Continue. The PIN must be between 4 and 16 digits

  • 8.

    Re-enter the PIN and then tap OK. This must match the PIN entered in the previous step

  • 9.

    Tap OK

  • 10.

    Tap Continue

  • 11.

    Select if you are wearing glasses and then tap Continue. If you wear glasses most of the time, put them on now for best results. If you do wear glasses, you will be asked to remove them part way through the face scan

  • 12.

    Hold the phone in such a way that your face is framed within the box and wait for your face to be scanned successfully

  • 13.

    Once your face has been registered, position the phone so that your eyes are within the two circles and wait for your irises to be scanned

  • 14.

    To unlock the phone using Intelligent Scan, press the Power/Lock Key

  • 15.

    Hold the phone in front of your face. The phone will unlock
