Using Google Assistant

Google Assistant enables you to use your voice to perform tasks such as making calls, sending messages and settings alarms

Tap and hold on the Home Key

Tap Continue
- 3.
Tap I Agree
- 4.
Enter your secure unlock method
- 5.
Select your Assistant preferences and then tap Next
- 6.
To make a call, say Call followed by the name or number you wish to call
- 7.
The number will be dialed
- 8.
To send a message, say Message followed by the name or number you wish to send the message to and the text of the message
- 9.
Tap the Send icon or say Send
- 10.
To perform a Google search, say your search term, e.g. Montreal Weather
- 11.
Your search results will be displayed
- 12.
To get directions, say Directions To followed by the address or location
- 13.
The directions will be shown on a map
- 14.
To get GPS directions, tap Start
- 15.
To identify a song, say What’s This Song?
- 16.
The phone will listen for any currently playing songs
- 17.
The details of the song will be displayed
- 18.
To set an alarm, say Set An Alarm followed by the time of the alarm
- 19.
The details of the alarm will be displayed
- 20.
To view a sports score, say the name of a team or event
- 21.
The team’s current score, most recent game, or upcoming game will be displayed
- 22.
To open an app, say Open followed by the name of the app
- 23.
The app will launch
