    Swipe down from the top of the screen

    By default, the phone's brightness will be set automatically based on the ambient light. To disable this, tap the check box beside Auto

    Note:     You can still adjust the screen's brightness while Auto mode is turned on. The phone will use the ambient light as a base setting and increase or decrease the screen's brightness by the amount you adjust the slider

    Drag the slider until you reach your desired level of brightness
