  • Trusted devices allows the phone to remain unlocked as long as it is connected to a trusted Bluetooth or NFC device
  • 1. Swipe down from the top of the screen
  • 2. Tap the Settings icon
  • 3. Tap Lock Screen and Security
    If you already have a PIN set up you can skip to step 10
  • 4. Tap Screen Lock Type
  • 5. Tap your desired screen unlock method. In this example, we will select PIN
  • 6. Enter your PIN and then tap Continue
  • 7. Confirm your PIN and then tap OK
  • 8. Select if you would like your notifications to be displayed when the phone is locked. In this example, we will select Hide Content
  • 9. Tap Done
  • 10. Tap Secure Lock Settings
  • 11. Tap Smart Lock
  • 12. Enter your PIN and then tap Next
  • 13. Tap Trusted Devices
  • 14. Tap Add Trusted Device
  • 15. Select whether you would like to use a Bluetooth or NFC device. In this example we will select Bluetooth
    Bluetooth must be turned on and your phone must be connected to the device you wish to use
  • 16. Tap the Bluetooth device you wish to use
  • 17. Your phone will remain unlocked as long as it is connected to the Bluetooth device
  • 18. To manually lock the phone, press the Power/Lock Key
  • 19. Once you have locked the phone, to unlock it again, press the Power/Lock Key
  • 20. Drag the lock icon upwards
  • 21. Enter your PIN and then tap OK
  • 22. Tap Got It
