  • 1. From the Start screen, scroll down and tap Settings
  • 2. Scroll down and tap Speech
  • 3. Tap the check box beside Enable speech recognition over the network
  • 4. From the Start screen, press and hold the Start key
  • 5. To make a phone call, in a clear voice say Call followed by the name or number you wish to call
  • 6. To send a text message, say Text followed by the name or number you wish to send a message too
  • 7. Say the text of your message and then tap Send
  • 8. To search the web, say Find followed by your search term
