  • 1. Swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers
  • 2. Tap the Settings icon
  • 3. Scroll down and tap Security
  • 4. Tap Screen Lock
  • 5. Tap the type of unlock method you would like to use. In this example, we will select PIN
  • 6. Enter a PIN and then tap Continue
  • 7. Re-enter the PIN and then tap OK
  • 8. Select your preference for displaying notifications while the phone is locked. In this example, we will select Don't show notifications at all
  • 9. Tap Done
  • 10. Tap Smart Lock
  • 11. Enter your PIN and then tap Next
  • 12. Tap Trusted Devices
  • 13. Tap Add Trusted Device
  • 14. Tap Bluetooth or NFC. In this example, we will select Bluetooth
    Bluetooth must be turned on and the phone must be connect to the device you wish to use
  • 15. Tap the device you wish to use
  • 16. Tap Yes, Add
  • 17. Your phone will remain unlocked while it is connected to the device
  • 18. To manually lock your phone, press the Power/Lock Key
  • 19. Press the Power/Lock Key again
  • 20. Tap the Lock icon
  • 21. Once you have locked the phone, to unlock it again, press the Power/Lock Key
  • 22. Swipe the lock upwards
  • 23. Enter your PIN and then tap the check mark
  • 24. Tap Got It
