Using Trusted Devices to Unlock Your Phone

Swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers

Tap the Settings icon

Scroll down and tap Security
If you have already set up a PIN or password, you can skip to step 10

Tap Screen Lock
- 5.
Tap PIN
- 6.
Select whether you would like a PIN to be required to start the phone. In this example, we will choose No thanks
- 7.
Enter a PIN and then tap Continue
- 8.
Re-enter the PIN and then tap OK
- 9.
Select your lock screen notification preference and then tap Done
- 10.
Tap Smart Lock
- 11.
Enter your PIN and then tap the arrow
- 12.
Tap Understood
- 13.
Tap Trusted Devices
- 14.
Tap Add Trusted Device
- 15.
Tap the device you wish to use
Bluetooth must be turned on and you must be connected to the device you wish to use as a trusted device

Tap Yes, Add
- 17.
The phone will remain unlocked as long as the phone remains connected to the device
- 18.
If you would like to manually lock the phone, press the Power/Lock Key
- 19.
Tap the lock icon. The phone will remain locked until you manually unlock it
- 20.
To unlock the phone, press the Power/Lock Key again
- 21.
Swipe the Lock icon upwards
- 22.
Enter your PIN and then tap the check mark
