  • Trusted devices allows the phone to remain unlocked as long as it is connected to a trusted Bluetooth or NFC device
  • 1. Swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers
  • 2. Tap the Settings icon
  • 3. Scroll down and tap Security
  • 4. Tap Screen Lock
  • 5. Tap your desired unlock method. In this example we will select PIN
  • 6. If you would like a PIN to be required to when the phone is turned on, make sure Require PIN to start device is selected. Otherwise tap No thanks
  • 7. Tap Continue
  • 8. Enter a PIN and then tap Continue
  • 9. Confirm your PIN and then tap OK
  • 10. Select whether you would like notifications displayed when your phone is locked. In this example, we will select Don't show notifications at all
  • 11. Tap Done
  • 12. Tap Smart Lock
  • 13. Enter your PIN and then tap Next
  • 14. You can choose for your phone to unlock when it is connected to trusted Bluetooth devices. Or if it detects a trusted face. In this example, we will select Trusted Devices
  • 15. Tap the Add Trusted Device icon
  • 16. Tap Bluetooth
    Bluetooth must be turned on in order to use smart lock
  • 17. Tap the device you wish to connect to
  • 18. As long as your device remains connected to the Bluetooth device, it will stay unlocked
  • 19. If you wish to lock the phone, press the Power/Lock Key
  • 20. Tap the Lock icon
  • 21. To unlock the phone, swipe the Lock icon upwards
  • 22. Enter your PIN and then tap the check mark
