  • The setup assistant launches the first time you turn the phone on and helps you get started with some of the fundamental features of the phone. Most sections have a Skip option so if you don’t want to use a certain feature, you can skip it.
  • 1. Press and hold the Power/Lock Key to turn the phone on
  • 2. Tap the language
  • 3. Tap your desired language
  • 4. Tap the arrow
  • 5. If you would like to connect to a Wi-Fi network, tap the network’s name
  • 6. If required, enter the network’s password and then tap Connect
  • 7. If you would like to copy your data from another phone, tap Copy your Google Accounts, apps, and data from your other device. Otherwise tap No thanks
  • 8. Tap Next
  • 9. Tap Enter your email
  • 10. Enter the email address associated with your Google account and then tap Next
    If you do not have a Google account, tap Or create a new account
  • 11. Enter your password and then tap Next
  • 12. Tap Accept
  • 13. Scroll down and tap Next
  • 14. If you would like to add payment information, tap your desired payment method. Otherwise tap Remind me later
  • 15. Tap Next
  • 16. If you would like to add another email address, tap the type of email account it is, otherwise tap Not Now
  • 17. Tap Next
  • 18. If you would like to add an unlock method, tap the method you would like to use. In this example, we will select Set up PIN, pattern or password
  • 19. Tap Next
  • 20. Tap your unlock method. We will select PIN
  • 21. Select whether you would like a PIN to be required to start the phone. In this example, we will choose No thanks
  • 22. Tap Next
  • 23. Enter a PIN and then tap the arrow
  • 24. Re-enter the PIN and then tap the arrow
  • 25. Select if you want notifications displayed on the home screen. In this example, we will select Don’t show notifications at all
  • 26. Tap Next
  • 27. Tap the field below Restore from this back up
  • 28. If you would like to restore your data from a different device, tap the device. Otherwise, tap Set up as new device
  • 29. Tap Done
  • 30. Tap Next
  • 31. Scroll down and tap Next
  • 32. Tap Got It
