  • 1. Swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers
  • 2. Tap the Settings icon
  • 3. Scroll down and tap Security
  • 4. Tap Screen Lock
  • 5. Tap your desired lock method. In this example, we will select PIN
  • 6. If you would like a PIN to be required when you turn your phone on, tap Require PIN to start device
  • 7. Tap Continue
  • 8. Enter a PIN and then tap Continue
  • 9. Re-enter your PIN and then tap OK
  • 10. Select what notifications you would like displayed on the lock screen. In this example, we will select Don’t show notifications at all
  • 11. Tap Done
  • 12. Tap Automatically Lock
  • 13. Tap the duration after the phone goes to sleep after which you would like the phone to lock
  • 14. When the phone locks, press the Power/Lock Key
  • 15. Swipe the screen in any direction
  • 16. Enter your PIN and then tap the check mark
