  • 1. From the home screen, press the Menu Key
  • 2. Tap Settings
  • 3. Scroll down and tap BlackBerry Protect
  • 4. Make sure the status switch beside BlackBerry Protect is turned on
  • 5. On another device, go to protect.blackberry.com
  • 6. Click Username
  • 7. Enter your BlackBerry ID
  • 8. Click Password
  • 9. Enter your password
  • 10. Click Sign In
  • 11. Click View Location
  • 12. The current location of your phone will be displayed on a map
  • 13. To lock your phone, click Lock Device
  • 14. Click New Password
  • 15. Enter a password. This is the password that must be entered on the phone to unlock it
  • 16. Click Confirm Password
  • 17. Re-enter the password and then click Lock Device
  • 18. To unlock your phone, press the Power/Lock Key
  • 19. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen
  • 20. Enter your password and then tap OK
  • 21. To erase the contents of your device, click Wipe Device
  • 22. Click Wipe Device
  • 23. Enter your BlackBerry ID password and then tap Wipe Device Now. This will erase all data on your phone. You will no longer be able to locate your phone using BlackBerry Protect
