Using Trusted Devices to Unlock Your Phone

- 1. Swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers
- 2. Tap the Settings icon
- 3. Scroll down and tap Lock ScreenIf you already have a PIN set up, you can skip to step 10
- 4. Tap Screen Lock
- 5. Tap the unlock method you would like to use. In this example, we will select PIN
- 6. Enter a PIN and then tap Continue
- 7. Re-enter the PIN and then tap OK
- 8. Select what types of notifications you would like to be displayed on the lock screen. We will select Hide Sensitive Notification Content
- 9. Tap Done
- 10. Tap Smart Lock
- 11. Tap Trusted Devices
- 12. Tap Add Trusted Device
- 13. Select whether you would like to use a Bluetooth or NFC device. In this example we will select BluetoothBluetooth must be turned on and your phone must be connected to the device you wish to use
- 14. Tap the Bluetooth device you wish to use
- 15. Your phone will remain unlocked as long as it is connected to the Bluetooth device
- 16. To manually lock the phone, press the Power/Lock Key
- 17. Tap the Lock icon to lock the phone
- 18. Once you have locked the phone, to unlock it again, press the Power/Lock Key
- 19. Swipe the Lock icon upwards
- 20. Enter your PIN and then tap the check mark
- 21. Tap Got It
