  • 1. Swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers
  • 2. Tap the Settings icon
  • 3. Scroll down and tap Lock Screen & Security
    If you have already set up a PIN, you can skip to step 12
  • 4. Tap Screen Lock
  • 5. Tap your desired unlock method. In this example, we will select PIN
  • 6. If you would like to the PIN to be required to start your phone, make sure Require PIN to start device is selected
  • 7. Tap Continue
  • 8. Enter a PIN and then tap Continue
  • 9. Re-enter the PIN and then tap OK
  • 10. Select if you would like notifications displayed on the home screen. We will select Don’t show notifications at all
  • 11. Tap Done
  • 12. Tap Smart Lock
  • 13. Enter your PIN and then tap Continue
  • 14. Tap Got It
  • 15. Tap Trusted Devices
  • 16. Tap Add Trusted Device
  • 17. You can use either Bluetooth or NFC. In this example, we will select Bluetooth
  • 18. Tap the device you wish to use
  • 19. Tap Yes, Add
  • 20. Your phone will remain unlocked as long as it remains connected to the device
  • 21. If you wish to manually lock the phone, press the Power/Lock Key
  • 22. Tap the Lock icon
  • 23. To unlock the phone, press the Power/Lock Key
  • 24. Swipe the lock icon upwards
  • 25. Enter your PIN
