Using Your Phone as a Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot

Note: Using your phone as a portable Wi-Fi hotspot allows other devices to connect to your phone's cellular data via Wi-Fi. This may increase your battery and data usage
1. Swipe down from the top of the screen
2. Tap the Settings icon
3. Tap More…
4. Tap Tethering & Portable Hotspot
5. Tap Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot
6. Tap OK
7. Tap Configure Wi-Fi Hotspot
8. Tap inside the Network SSID field
9. Enter a name for the network. This is the name that other devices will see when searching for a network
10. Tap Password
11. Enter a password. This is the password that will need to be entered on other devices when connecting to your network
12. Tap Done
13. Tap Save
14. To deactivate a portable Wi-Fi hotspot, swipe down from the top of the screen
15. Tap Tethering or Hotspot Active
16. Tap Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot
