Using Trusted Devices to Unlock Your Phone

- Trusted devices allows the phone to remain unlocked as long as it is connected to a trusted Bluetooth or NFC device
- 1. Swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers
- 2. Tap the Settings icon
- 3. Scroll down and tap SecurityIf you already have a PIN set up, you can skip to step 10
- 4. Tap Screen Lock
- 5. Tap the unlock method you would like to use. In this example, we will select PIN
- 6. Enter your PIN and then tap Continue
- 7. Confirm your PIN and then tap OK
- 8. Select if you would like your notifications to be displayed on the lock screen. In this example, we will select Hide Sensitive Notification Content
- 9. Tap Done
- 10. Tap Smart Lock
- 11. Enter your PIN and then tap Continue
- 12. Tap Trusted Devices
- 13. Tap Add Trusted Device
- 14. Select whether you would like to use a Bluetooth or NFC device. In this example we will select BluetoothBluetooth must be turned on and your phone must be connected to the device you wish to use
- 15. Tap the Bluetooth device you wish to use
- 16. Your phone will remain unlocked as long as it is connected to the Bluetooth device
- 17. To manually lock the phone, press the Power/Lock Key
- 18. Tap the Lock icon to lock the phone
- 19. Once you have locked the phone, to unlock it, press the Power/Lock Key
- 20. Drag the lock icon upwards
- 21. Enter your PIN and then tap the check mark
- 22. Tap Got It
