    Swipe down from the top of the screen

    Tap the Settings icon

    Scroll down and tap Lock Screen and Security

    If you have already set up an unlock method, you can skip to step 9

    Tap Screen Lock Type

  • 5.

    Tap your preferred unlock method. We will select PIN

  • 6.

    Enter a PIN and then tap Continue

  • 7.

    Re-enter the PIN and then tap OK

  • 8.

    Select your lock screen notifications preferences and then tap Done

  • 9.

    Tap Secure Lock Settings

  • 10.

    Tap Smart Lock

  • 11.

    Enter your PIN and then tap Next

  • 12.

    Tap Understood

  • 13.

    Tap Trusted Places

  • 14.

    Tap the location you wish to set as a trusted location. The Home and Work locations will be determined by Google Maps.

    Tap Turn on this location

  • 16.

    Tap OK

  • 17.

    To add a trusted location, tap Add Trusted Place

  • 18.

    Tap the Search icon

  • 19.

    Enter the address you wish to add and then tap the address from the list of suggestions

  • 20.

    Tap Select to set it as a trusted location

  • 21.

    Tap OK

  • 22.

    As long as the phone remains within 80 metres of a trusted location, it will remain unlocked

  • 23.

    If you would like to manually lock the phone, press the Home Key

  • 24.

    Tap the Lock icon

  • 25.

    To unlock the phone, press the Home Key

  • 26.

    Swipe the lock icon upwards

  • 27.

    Enter your PIN and then tap OK
