Using the Setup Assistant
Click each step to see the action, click the picture or use the arrow keys

Press and hold the Power/Lock Key to turn the tablet on

Tap the language
- 3.
Tap the language you wish to use
- 4.
Tap OK
- 5.
Tap Start
- 6.
To join a Wi-Fi network, tap the status switch
- 7.
Tap the network you would like to join
- 8.
If required, enter the network’s password and then tap Connect
- 9.
Tap Next
- 10.
Tap Agree to All
- 11.
Tap Next
- 12.
Tap Email or Phone
- 13.
Enter the email address or phone number associated with your Google account and then tap Next
- 14.
Enter your password and then tap Next
- 15.
Tap Accept
- 16.
Select your preference and then tap Next
- 17.
If you would like to restore apps and data from a different device, tap the device. Otherwise tap Don’t Restore
- 18.
Select the security method you would like to use. In this example, we will select Set Up Fingerprint

Tap Next
- 20.
Tap Continue
- 21.
Select an unlock method. This will be used when your fingerprint can’t be read, the tablet restarts or hasn’t been used for longer than 24 hours. We will select PIN

Select whether the PIN is required when the tablet is turned on and then tap Continue
- 23.
Enter a PIN and then tap Continue
- 24.
Re-enter the PIN and then tap OK
- 25.
Place a finger or thumb on the Home Key
- 26.
Continue to lift and replace your finger
- 27.
Tap Continue
- 28.
Rotate your finger and continue to lift and replace your thumb until it has been fully read
- 29.
Tap your lock screen notification preferences and then tap Done
- 30.
Tap Next
- 31.
To sign into your Samsung account, tap Email or Phone Number
- 32.
Enter the email address or phone number associated with your Samsung account and then tap Password
If you don’t have a Samsung account, tap Create Account to set one up
- 33.
Enter your password and then tap Sign In
- 34.
If you would like to restore data from an old device, tap Restore. Otherwise, tap Later
- 35.
Tap Finish
