  • 1. From the home screen, tap Settings
  • 2. Tap Device
  • 3. Scroll down and tap Private Mode
  • 4. Tap Next
  • 5. Tap Next
  • 6. Tap Start
  • 7. Select your preferred unlock method. In this example, we will choose Password
  • 8. Enter your password and then tap Done
  • 9. Re-enter your password and then tap Done
  • 10. Private mode is available for the Gallery, Video, Music, and My Files applications. To set a file to private, browse to it and then tap the Menu key
  • 11. Tap Move to Private
  • 12. Any file that is set to private will have an icon in the top right corner
  • 13. To remove a file from private mode, tap the Menu key
  • 14. Tap Remove from Private
  • 15. Select where you would like to save the file to
  • 16. To turn private mode off, from the home screen, tap Settings
  • 17. Tap Device
  • 18. Scroll down and tap the status switch beside Private Mode
  • 19. Tap OK
