  • If you have data stored on another device, you can use Smart Switch to transfer it to your new device.

  • 1.

    From the home screen, tap Play Store

  • 2.

    Tap the Search Bar

  • 3.

    Enter Smart Switch and then tap the Search icon

  • 4.

    Tap Samsung Smart Switch

  • 5.

    Tap Install

  • 6.

    To open Smart Switch, swipe the home screen upwards

  • 7.

    Tap Smart Switch

  • 8.

    Tap Agree

  • 9.

    Tap Start

  • 10.

    Tap Receive Data

  • 11.

    Select how you would like to transfer the data. We will select Wireless

  • 12.

    Tap the type of device you are transferring data from. In this example, we will select Galaxy/Android

  • 13.

    On the other device, open Smart Switch. You may need to download this from the Google Play Store

  • 14.

    Tap Agree

  • 15.

    Tap Start

  • 16.

    Tap Send Data

  • 17.

    Tap Wireless

  • 18.

    Select the data you wish to transfer and then tap Send

  • 19.

    On your tablet, tap Receive

  • 20.

    When the transfer is complete, tap Done on both devices
