Using the Setup Assistant
Click each step to see the action, click the picture or use the arrow keys
The Setup Assistant will guide you through the setup process for your tablet
- 1.
To turn the tablet on, press and hold the Power/Lock Key
- 2.
Tap the language
- 3.
Tap the language you wish to use
- 4.
Tap OK
- 5.
Tap Start
- 6.
To connect to a Wi-Fi network, tap the status switch beside Off to turn Wi-Fi on
- 7.
Tap the network you wish to join
- 8.
If required, enter the network’s password and then tap Join
- 9.
Tap Next
- 10.
Tap I have read and agree to all of the above and then tap Next
- 11.
To sign in to your Google account, tap Email or Phone
If you do not have a Google account, tap Create Account to set one up
- 12.
Enter the email address or phone number associated with your account and then tap Next
- 13.
Enter your password and then tap Next
- 14.
Tap I Agree
- 15.
If you would like to restore from a previous backup, tap the backup you would like to use. Otherwise tap Don't Restore
- 16.
Select the type of security you would like to use. In this example, we will select Set up PIN, pattern, or password
- 17.
Tap Next
- 18.
Tap your desired security method. We will select PIN
- 19.
Select whether you would like the PIN to be required when the device starts up and then tap Continue
- 20.
Enter a PIN and then tap Continue. The PIN must contain at least 4 digits
- 21.
Re-enter the PIN and then tap OK
- 22.
Tap Next to set up Google Assistant
- 23.
Scroll down and tap I Agree
- 24.
Scroll down and tap OK
- 25.
If you would like to sign in to your Samsung account, tap Sign In
- 26.
Enter the email address or phone number associated with your account and then tap Password
- 27.
Enter your password and then tap Sign In
- 28.
Tap Next
- 29.
Select the data you would like to restore to your device and then tap Restore
- 30.
Tap Finish
