Using the My Places Widget
Click each step to see the action, click the picture or use the arrow keys
- 1. On the home screen, tap and hold a blank area of the home screen
- 2. Tap Widgets
- 3. Swipe the screen left until you reach the screen containing the My Places widget
- 4. Tap and hold on the widget
- 5. Drag it on to the home screen and then lift your finger
- 6. Tap the screen
- 7. Tap the widget
- 8. Tap your current location. In this example we will select Home
- 9. The phone will detect your home address. Tap NextIf this address is not correct, tap inside the address field and search for the correct address
- 10. Tap Manage
- 11. To replace one of the default apps or functions, tap on it
- 12. To replace it with a function, tap the function you would like to use
- 13. To replace it with an app, tap App
- 14. Tap the app you would like to use
- 15. Tap OK
- 16. To change places, tap the My Places widget
- 17. Tap the place you wish to use
- 18. Edit the shortcuts in the same way you edited the Home shortcuts
- 19. Press the Home Key
- 20. To add a place, tap the My Places widget
- 21. Tap the + icon
- 22. Give the place a name and then tap Save
- 23. Tap Search
- 24. Enter the address you would like to use and then tap the Search icon
- 25. Tap Save
- 26. Tap the + icon in the top left of the widget
- 27. Tap the icon you would like to use
- 28. Tap the + icons to add apps and functions
- 29. Tap Select information to add
- 30. Tap whether you would like an alarm, traffic forecast or world clock displayed
- 31. Press the Home Key
