  • 1. Swipe down from the top of the screen
  • 2. Tap the Settings icon
  • 3. Tap Mobile Hotspot and Tethering
  • 4. Tap Mobile Hotspot
  • 5. Tap the status switch beside Off
  • 6. Tap OK
    Enabling a portable hotspot will disable Wi-Fi
  • 7. Tap More
  • 8. Tap Configure Mobile Hotspot
  • 9. Enter a name for the hotspot and then tap Next. This is the name that other devices will see when searching for a hotspot
  • 10. Enter a password and then tap Save. This is the password that must be entered on other devices who wish to connect to the network
  • 11. To disable a portable hotspot, swipe down from the top of the screen
  • 12. Tap Tethering or hotspot active
  • 13. Tap the status switch beside On
