Click each step to see the action, click the picture or use the arrow keys

  • 1. From the home screen, tap Messages
  • 2. Tap the Compose icon
  • 3. Enter the first few letters of the contact’s name and then tap their name in the displayed list
  • 4. To send the message to a contact that isn’t in your address book, use the keyboard to enter the number
  • 5. Tap Enter Message
  • 6. Enter the text of the message and then tap Send
