Accessing the Google Play Store/Android Market

Note: The Android Market was recently rebranded as the Google Play Store. These steps outline the process for downloading apps using the Google Play Store. If your phone is using the Android Market, the steps are largely the same with some minor differences. You must be signed in to your Google account to be able to access the store
- 1. From the Home screen, tap Play Store
Note: If the Play Store icon has been removed from your Home screen, you can also access it from the Application Launcher
- 2. Tap Apps
- 3. Swipe the screen to the left until you reach Top Free
- 4. Tap the app you wish to view
- 5. To install the app, tap Install or Download
Note: Download will be displayed if you haven't downloaded the app before. If you have previously downloaded the app but it isn't currently installed on your device, Install will be displayed instead
- 6. A list of permissions the app requires will be displayed, tap Accept and Download to continue. The app can be accessed from your Application Launcher
- 7. To browse the Play Store, tap the Search icon
- 8. Enter your search term and tap Return
- 9. Tap the app you wish to view
