Using S Pen Applications

- 1. When you first remove the S Pen, a home page displaying apps you can use with the S Pen will launch. Tap on the app you wish to use. In this example we will select Idea Note. Many of the other applications work in much the same way
- 2. Use the S Pen to write a note, draw something or doodle
- 3. To change the type of pen, tap and hold on the Draw Mode icon
- 4. Tap the type of pen you wish to use
- 5. Drag the Pen Size slider to increase of decrease the pen size
- 6. Tap a colour to change the pen's colour
- 7. Tap the X to close the pen settings window
- 8. To undo something, tap the Undo icon
- 9. To erase something, tap the Erase icon
- 10. Use the S Pen to erase parts of a note
- 11. To add text, tap the Text Mode icon
- 12. Use the S Pen to enter text
- 13. Tap the Draw Mode icon to return to the drawing mode
- 14. To insert a photo or video, tap the Insert Object icon
- 15. Tap the type of media you wish to insert. In this example, we will select Images
- 16. Tap the location of your images
- 17. Tap Just Once or Always
- 18. Tap the location of your image
- 19. Tap the image you wish to insert
- 20. Use the transform handles to scale the image
- 21. Tap and drag the image to move it
- 22. Tap the screen to place the image
- 23. To save a note, tap Save
- 24. Enter a name for the note
- 25. Tap OK
- 26. To share a note, tap the Menu key
- 27. Tap Share Via
- 28. Tap the type of file you wish to send the note as. In this example, we will select Image File
Note: If you have anything other than text in your note, you cannot send it as a Plain Text file. If you send it as an S Note file, the recipient must have a device with compatible software in order to read it - 29. Choose how you would like to send the note. In this example, we will select Messaging
- 30. Enter the first few letters of the recipient's name and then tap their name in the displayed list
- 31. Tap Send
- 32. Tap Close to exit a note
- 33. To open a saved note, from the S Pen home screen, tap List
- 34. Tap the note you wish to open
