Using Trusted Devices to Lock Your Phone

- 1. Swipe down from the top of the screen
- 2. Tap the Settings icon
- 3. Scroll down and tap Lock Screen and Security
- 4. Tap Screen Lock TypeIf you already have an unlock method set up, you will need to enter it now
- 5. Tap PIN
- 6. Enter a PIN and then tap Continue
- 7. Re-enter the PIN and then tap OK
- 8. Select what notifications you would like displayed on the lock screen. In this example, we will select Do not show notifications
- 9. Tap Done
- 10. Tap Secure Lock Settings
- 11. Tap Smart Lock
- 12. Enter your PIN and then tap Next
- 13. Tap Trusted Devices
- 14. Tap Add Trusted Device
- 15. Tap Bluetooth or NFC. In this example, we will select BluetoothBluetooth must be turned on and you must be connected to the device you wish to use as a trusted device
- 16. Tap the device you wish to use
- 17. The phone will remain unlocked as long as the phone remains connected to the device
- 18. If you would like to manually lock the phone, press the Power/Lock Key
- 19. To unlock the phone, press the Power/Lock Key again
- 20. Swipe the lock icon upwards
- 21. Enter your PIN and then tap OK
- 22. Tap Got It
