Creating a Mobile Wi-Fi Hotspot

A Wi-Fi hotspot allows other devices to connect to the internet using your phone’s mobile data or Wi-Fi network. This may increase your mobile data usage. Creating a mobile hotspot will turn off Wi-Fi until the hotspot is deactivated

Swipe down from the top of the screen with one finger
- 2.
Tap the Settings icon
- 3.
Tap Connections
- 4.
Tap Mobile Hotspot and Tethering
- 5.
Tap the status switch beside Mobile Hotspot
- 6.
Tap OK
- 7.
Tap Mobile Hotspot
- 8.
Tap the network name
- 9.
Enter a name for the network and then tap Save. This is the name that other devices will see when searching for available networks
- 10.
Tap Password
- 11.
Enter a password and then tap Save. This is the password that must be entered on other devices wishing to connect to your hotspot
- 12.
To deactivate a mobile hotspot, swipe down from the top of the screen with one finger
- 13.
Tap the Mobile Hotspot notification
- 14.
Tap the status switch beside On to deactivate the hotspot
