Using the Secure Folder

Data, files and apps stored in the Secure Folder are separate from those stored outside of the Secure Folder and require identity confirmation to access.

Swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers

Tap Secure Folder
- 3.
Tap Agree
- 4.
Enter the password for your Samsung account and then tap OK to sign in to your Samsung account
If you have not added your Samsung account to the phone already, you will need to do so now

Select a secure lock type and then tap Next. In this example, we will choose PIN
- 6.
Enter a PIN and then tap Continue. The PIN must be between 4 and 16 digits
- 7.
Re-enter the PIN and then tap OK. The PIN must be the same as the one entered in the previous step
- 8.
The apps available in the Secure Folder will be displayed. Tap on one to open it

To include more apps, tap Add Apps
- 10.
Select the apps you would like to include and then tap Add
- 11.
Tap Add Files to upload files to the Secure Folder
- 12.
Tap the type of file you would like to upload. In this example, we will select Images
- 13.
Select the images you would like to upload and then tap Done
- 14.
You can choose to copy or move the files. Copying the file will create a duplicate version in the Secure Folder. If you move the file, it will be deleted from its original folder. We will select Copy

To lock the Secure Folder, tap the Menu icon
- 16.
Tap Lock and Exit

To access the Secure Folder, swipe the home screen upwards
- 18.
Swipe the screen to the left
- 19.
Tap Secure Folder
- 20.
Enter your PIN and then tap Done
