  • A Wi-Fi hotspot allows other devices to connect to the internet using your phone’s mobile data or Wi-Fi network. This may increase your mobile data usage. Creating a mobile hotspot will turn off Wi-Fi until the hotspot is deactivated

    Swipe down from the top of the screen with one finger

  • 2.

    Tap the Settings icon

  • 3.

    Tap Connections

  • 4.

    Tap Mobile Hotspot and Tethering

  • 5.

    Tap the status switch beside Mobile Hotspot

  • 6.

    Tap OK

  • 7.

    Tap Mobile Hotspot

  • 8.

    Tap the network name

  • 9.

    Enter a name for the network and then tap Save. This is the name that other devices will see when searching for available networks

  • 10.

    Tap Password

  • 11.

    Enter a password and then tap Save. This is the password that must be entered on other devices wishing to connect to your hotspot

  • 12.

    To deactivate a mobile hotspot, swipe down from the top of the screen with one finger

  • 13.

    Tap the Mobile Hotspot notification

  • 14.

    Tap the status switch beside On to deactivate the hotspot
