Using the Setup Assistant
Click each step to see the action, click the picture or use the arrow keys
The Setup Assistant will guide you through the setup process for your phone
- 1.
Press and hold the Power/Lock Key to turn the phone on
- 2.
Tap the Language
- 3.
Tap the language you wish to use
- 4.
Tap OK
- 5.
Tap the arrow
- 6.
Tap I have read and agree to all of the above.
- 7.
Tap Next
- 8.
If you would like transfer data from a previous backup, select either Wireless or Cable and USB connector. Otherwise tap Skip this for now
- 9.
Tap Next
- 10.
If you would like to connect to a Wi-Fi network, tap Turn On Wi-Fi
- 11.
Tap the network you wish to connect to
- 12.
If required, enter the network’s password and then tap Connect
- 13.
If you would like to turn Wi-Fi Calling on, tap OK
- 14.
Tap Next
- 15.
To add your Google account, tap Email or Phone
If you do not have a Google account, you can tap Skip, or tap Create Account to set one up
- 16.
Enter the email address or phone number associated with your Google account and then tap Next
- 17.
Enter your password and then tap Next
- 18.
Tap I Agree
- 19.
If you would like to restore from a previous backup, select the backup you wish to use. Otherwise tap Don’t Restore
- 20.
Select the security method you wish to use. In this example, we will select PIN
- 21.
Enter a PIN and then tap Continue. The PIN must be at least 4 digits
- 22.
Re-enter the PIN and then tap OK
- 23.
Tap Next
- 24.
Scroll down and tap Accept
- 25.
Choose the apps you would like to install and then tap OK
- 26.
Select any additional apps you would like to download and then tap Next
- 27.
To sign into your Samsung account, tap Email or Phone Number
- 28.
Enter the email address or phone number associated with your Samsung account and then tap Password
- 29.
Enter your password and then tap Sign In
- 30.
Tap I agree to all
- 31.
Tap Next
- 32.
If you would like to restore data from a previous Samsung device, tap the backup you wish to use. Otherwise, tap Skip
- 33.
Tap Finish to complete the setup
