  • 1. Swipe down from the top of the screen
  • 2. Tap the Settings icon
  • 3. Tap Lock Screen and Security
  • 4. Tap Screen Lock Type
  • 5. Select your unlock method. In this example, we will select PIN
  • 6. Enter a PIN and then tap Continue
  • 7. Re-enter the PIN and then tap OK
  • 8. Select your lock screen notification preferences and then tap Done
  • 9. Tap Secure Lock Settings
  • 10. Tap Lock Automatically
  • 11. Tap the duration after the phone goes to sleep after which you would like the phone to lock
  • 12. When the phone locks, press the Power/Lock Key
  • 13. Swipe the screen in any direction
  • 14. Enter your PIN and then tap OK
