Using Trusted Devices to Unlock Your Phone

- 1. Swipe down from the top of the screen
- 2. Tap the Settings icon
- 3. Tap Lock ScreenIf you already have an unlock method set up, you can skip to step 10
- 4. Tap Screen Lock
- 5. Tap your desired unlock method. In this example, we will select Tap PIN
- 6. Enter a PIN and then tap Continue
- 7. Re-enter the PIN and then tap OK
- 8. Select what notifications you would like displayed on the lock screen. In this example, we will select Do not show notifications
- 9. Tap Done
- 10. Tap the arrow beside Lock Screen
- 11. Scroll down and tap Security
- 12. Scroll down and tap Smart Lock
- 13. Enter your PIN and then tap Continue
- 14. Tap Trusted Devices
- 15. Tap Add Trusted Device
- 16. Tap Bluetooth or NFC. In this example, we will select BluetoothBluetooth must be turned on and you must be connected to the device you wish to use as a trusted device
- 17. Tap the device you wish to use
- 18. The phone will remain unlocked as long as it remains connected to the device
- 19. If you would like to manually lock the phone, press the Power/Lock Key
- 20. To unlock the phone, press the Power/Lock Key again
- 21. Swipe the lock icon upwards
- 22. Enter your PIN and then tap OK
- 23. Tap Got It
