  • 1. From the Start screen, scroll down and tap Settings
  • 2. Scroll down and tap Lock + Wallpaper
  • 3. Tap the status switch under Password
  • 4. Enter a password
  • 5. Tap Confirm Password
  • 6. Re-enter the password and then tap Done
  • 7. Tap Require a Password After
  • 8. Tap the interval beyond which you will be required to enter a password after the phone locks
  • 9. When the phone locks, tap the Power/Lock key
  • 10. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen
  • 11. Enter your password
