Creating a Mobile Wi-Fi Hotspot

A Wi-Fi hotspot allows other devices to connect to the internet using your phone’s mobile data or Wi-Fi network. This may increase your mobile data usage. Turning a mobile hotspot on will turn Wi-Fi off

Swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers

Tap the Settings icon
- 3.
Tap Network & Internet
- 4.
Tap Hotspot & Tethering
- 5.
Tap Wi-Fi Hotspot
- 6.
Tap the status switch to turn the hotspot on
- 7.
Tap Hotspot Name
- 8.
Enter a name for the hotspot and then tap OK. This is the name that other devices will see when searching for the hotspot

Tap Advanced
- 10.
Tap Hotspot Password
- 11.
Enter a password for the hotspot and then tap OK. This is the password that must be entered on other devices in order to connect to the hotspot

To turn a hotspot off, swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers

Swipe the icons to the left
- 14.
Tap the Hotspot icon
