Using the Setup Assistant
Click each step to see the action, click the picture or use the arrow keys
The Setup Assistant will guide you through the setup process for your phone
- 1.
Press and hold the Power/Lock Key to turn the phone on
- 2.
Tap the language
- 3.
Tap the language you wish to use
Some languages have multiple regional variants. If required, select the variant you wish to use.

Tap Start
- 5.
If you would like to connect to Wi-Fi, tap the network you wish to join
- 6.
If required, enter the network’s password and then tap Connect
- 7.
If you would like to transfer data from your Google account, tap Next. In this example, we will set the phone up as new and will select Don’t Copy
- 8.
To add your Google account, tap Email or Phone
If you do not have a Google account, you can tap Skip, or tap Create Account to set one up
- 9.
Enter the e-mail address or phone number associated with your Google account and then tap the Arrow
- 10.
Enter your password and then tap Next
- 11.
Tap I Agree
- 12.
Scroll down and tap Accept
- 13.
Enter a PIN and then tap Next
- 14.
Re-enter the PIN and then tap Confirm
- 15.
If you would like to add fingerprint unlock, tap Set Up
- 16.
Place a finger on the fingerprint sensor
- 17.
Continue to lift and replace your finger until your fingerprint has been read
- 18.
If you would like to add another fingerprint, tap Add Another. Otherwise, tap Done
- 19.
Tap Next
- 20.
Tap I Agree to be able to access Google Assistant with voice match
- 21.
Tap Next
- 22.
If you would like to add Google Pay, tap Add a Card. Otherwise, tap Skip
- 23.
If you would like to set up anything else, tap on a setting to change it. Otherwise tap No Thanks
- 24. Tap Accept and Continue

Select how you would like to grant location access. In this example we will select Allow all the Time
