    Swipe down from the top of the screen

    Tap the Settings icon

    Tap Network & Internet

  • 4.

    Tap Hotspot & Tethering

  • 5.

    Tap the status switch beside Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot

  • 6.

    Tap Set Up Wi-Fi Hotspot

  • 7.

    Tap Network Name

  • 8.

    Enter a name for the network and then tap the arrow on the keyboard. This is the name that devices connecting to the hotspot will see

  • 9.

    Enter a password and then tap Save. This is the password that will need to be entered on devices connecting to the hotspot

  • 10.

    Tap OK

    Turning a hotspot on will turn Wi-Fi off

  • 11.

    To turn a portable hotspot off, swipe down from the top of the screen

  • 12.

    Tap the Settings icon

  • 13.

    Tap Hotspot is on

  • 14.

    Tap Turn Off
