    From the home screen, tap the Messenger icon

    Tap the + icon

    Enter the first few letters of the contact’s name and then tap their name in the displayed list

    To send the message to a contact that isn’t in your address book, use the keyboard to enter the number and then tap Done

  • 5.

    Enter the text of the message and then tap the Send icon
