  • 1. From the home screen, tap Settings
  • 2. Tap Display
  • 3. Tap Lock Screen
  • 4. Tap Select Screen Lock
  • 5. Tap Fingerprints
  • 6. Tap Next
  • 7. Select a screen unlock method for instances when your fingerprint can’t be read. In this example, we will select PIN
  • 8. Enter a PIN and then tap Next
  • 9. Confirm the PIN and then tap OK
  • 10. Select your lock screen notification setting and then tap OK
  • 11. Place your finger on the fingerprint sensor
  • 12. Keep lifting your finger and placing it on the sensor until your fingerprint has been read
  • 13. If you would like to add further fingerprints, tap Add More. Otherwise tap OK
  • 14. To rename the fingerprint, tap Fingerprint 1
  • 15. Enter a name and then tap Save
  • 16. When the phone locks, place your finger on the sensor to unlock it
