  • 1. Press and hold the Power/Lock Key to turn the phone on
  • 2. Tap the language
  • 3. Tap your desired language
  • 4. Tap the arrow
  • 5. If you would like to connect to a Wi-Fi network, tap the status switch beside Wi-Fi
  • 6. Tap the network you would like to connect to
  • 7. If required, enter the network’s password and then tap Connect
  • 8. Tap Next
  • 9. If you would like to copy data from another device, tap Keep your apps & data. Otherwise, tap Set up as new
  • 10. Tap Enter your email
  • 11. Enter the email address associated with your Google account and then tap Next
    If you do not have a Google account, tap Or create a new account to set one up
  • 12. Enter your password and then tap Next
  • 13. Tap Accept
  • 14. Scroll down and tap Next
  • 15. If you would like to add a fingerprint to unlock the phone, make sure Set up fingerprint is selected and then tap Next
  • 16. A secondary unlock method is required in case your fingerprint can’t be read. In this example, we will select PIN
  • 17. If you would like the PIN to be required when the phone is turned on, tap Require PIN to turn on phone. Otherwise leave No, thanks selected
  • 18. Tap Next
  • 19. Enter a PIN and then tap Next
  • 20. Re-enter the PIN and then tap OK
  • 21. Select your lock screen notification preference and then tap OK
  • 22. Place your finger on the fingerprint sensor
  • 23. Keep lifting and placing your finger on the fingerprint sensor until your fingerprint is successfully read
  • 24. Tap Next
  • 25. Tap I Agree
  • 26. Scroll down and tap Done
