  • Note: Using your phone as a portable Wi-Fi hotspot allows other devices to connect to your phone's cellular data via Wi-Fi. This may increase your battery and data usage
  • 1. From the home screen, tap the Menu key
  • 2. Tap System settings
  • 3. Tap More
  • 4. Tap Portable Wi-Fi hotspot
  • 5. Tap the check box beside Portable Wi-Fi hotspot
  • 6. Tap Configure Wi-Fi hotspot
  • 7. Enter a name for the network. This is the name that other devices will see when searching for the network
  • 8. Tap Password
  • 9. Enter a password. This is the password that will need to be entered on other devices when connecting to your network
  • 10. Tap Save
  • 11. To deactivate a portable Wi-Fi hotspot, swipe down from the top of the screen
  • 12. Tap Portable Wi-Fi hotspot active
  • 13. Tap the check box beside Portable Wi-Fi hotspot to deactivate it
