    From the home screen, tap Settings

    If you already have an unlock method set up, you can skip to step 9

    Tap Display

    Tap Lock Screen

  • 4.

    Tap Select Screen Lock

    Select a screen unlock method. In this example, we will select PIN

    Enter a PIN and then tap Next

  • 7.

    Confirm the PIN and then tap OK

    Select your lock screen notification settings and then tap OK

    Tap Smart Lock

  • 10.

    Enter your PIN and then tap OK

    Tap Understood

  • 12.

    Tap Trusted Places

  • 13.

    Tap the location you wish to set as a trusted location. The Home and Work locations will be determined by Google Maps

    Tap Turn on this location

  • 15.

    Tap OK

  • 16.

    To add a trusted location, tap Add Trusted Place

  • 17.

    Tap the Search Bar

  • 18.

    Enter the address you wish to add and then tap the address in the displayed list

  • 19.

    Tap Select to set it as a trusted location

  • 20.

    Tap OK

  • 21.

    As long as the tablet remains within 80 metres of a trusted location, it will remain unlocked

  • 22.

    If you would like to manually lock the tablet, press the Power/Lock Key

  • 23.

    Tap the Lock icon

  • 24.

    To unlock the tablet, press the Power/Lock Key again

  • 25.

    Swipe the screen in any direction

  • 26.

    Enter your PIN and then tap the check mark
