  • 1. Press and hold the Power/Lock Key to turn the phone on
  • 2. Tap the language
  • 3. Tap your desired language
  • 4. Tap the arrow
  • 5. If you would like to connect to a Wi-Fi network, tap the status switch beside Wi-Fi
  • 6. Tap the network you would like to connect to
  • 7. If required, enter the network’s password and then tap Connect
  • 8. Tap Next
  • 9. If you would like to copy data from another device, tap Keep your apps and data. Otherwise, tap Set up as new
  • 10. Tap Email or Phone
  • 11. Enter the email address or phone number associated with your Google account and then tap Next
    If you do not have a Google account, tap Or create a new account to set one up
  • 12. Tap Password
  • 13. Enter your password and then tap Next
  • 14. Tap Accept
  • 15. Scroll down and tap Next
  • 16. If you would like to add a fingerprint, make sure Set up fingerprint is selected and then tap Next
  • 17. Select the type of screen lock you wish to use. This is used in circumstances where your fingerprint can’t be read. In this example, we will select PIN
  • 18. Select whether or not the PIN is required to turn the phone on and then tap Next
  • 19. Enter a PIN and then tap Next
  • 20. Confirm the PIN and then tap OK
  • 21. Place your finger on the fingerprint sensor
  • 22. Lift your finger and place it back down on the sensor. Keep doing this until your fingerprint has been successfully read
  • 23. If you would like to add another fingerprint, tap Add More. Otherwise, tap Next
  • 24. Tap I Agree
  • 25. Scroll down and tap Done
