Setting and Activating the Phone Lock Code

1. From the home screen, press the Left Soft key under Menu
2. Scroll to Settings and press OK
3. Scroll to Phone Settings and press OK
4. Scroll to Security and press OK
5. Scroll to PIN Request and press OK
6. Scroll to On and press OK
7. Enter the default PIN and then press OK. The default PIN is usually 1234 but check your user-manual to confirm the default PIN for your device
8. Scroll to Change Codes and press OK
9. Scroll to PIN Code and press OK
10. Enter the default PIN and press OK
11. Enter a new PIN code and press OK. The new PIN must be at least 4 digits long
12. Re-enter your new PIN and press OK
13. Scroll to Phone Lock and press OK
14. Scroll to the event at which the phone will lock and press OK. In this example we will select When Power On which will request the PIN when the phone is turned on
15. Enter your PIN and press OK
16. The next time you turn your phone on, you will be asked for the PIN. Enter it and then press OK
