  • Fingerprint unlock uses your fingerprint to unlock the phone and to confirm your identity in certain apps or features. In some instances, your fingerprint cannot be used so you must also set up a PIN

    From the home screen, tap Settings

  • 2.

    Tap Security & Privacy

  • 3.

    Tap Fingerprint ID

  • 4.

    Enter a PIN

  • 5.

    Re-enter your PIN

  • 6.

    Tap the status switch beside Unlock Device

  • 7.

    Tap Enroll Fingerprint

  • 8.

    Press firmly on the Fingerprint icon

  • 9.

    Continue to lift and replace your finger

  • 10.

    Tap Continue

  • 11.

    Place the edges of your finger on the Fingerprint icon. Follow the instructions until your entire fingerprint has been read

    Tap OK

  • 13.

    To rename the fingerprint, tap Fingerprint 1

  • 14.

    Tap Rename

  • 15.

    Enter a name and then tap OK

  • 16.

    To unlock the phone, press the Power/Lock Key

  • 17.

    Place your finger on the Fingerprint icon
