  • 1. Swipe down from the top of the screen
  • 2. If the shortcuts tab isn’t selected, tap Shortcuts
  • 3. Tap and hold on the Wi-Fi Hotspot icon
  • 4. Tap the status switch to turn the hotspot on
    Turning a hotspot on will turn Wi-Fi off until you deactivate the hotspot
  • 5. Tap Configure Wi-Fi Hotspot
  • 6. Tap Network SSID
  • 7. Enter a name for the network and then tap Password. This is the name that other devices will see when searching for your network
  • 8. Enter a password and then tap Save. This is the password that must be entered on devices wishing to connect to your network
  • 9. To turn a Wi-Fi hotspot off, swipe down from the top of the screen
  • 10. Tap Tethering or Hotspot Active
  • 11. Tap Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot
  • 12. Tap the status switch to turn the hotspot off
