  • 1. From the Start screen, tap the Menu icon
  • 2. Scroll down and tap Settings
  • 3. Scroll down and tap Lock and Wallpaper
  • 4. Tap the status switch under Password
  • 5. Enter a password
  • 6. Tap Confirm Password
  • 7. Re-enter the password and then tap Done
  • 8. Tap the field under Require a password after
  • 9. Tap the interval beyond which you will be required to enter your password after the phone locks
  • 10. When the phone locks, press the Power/Lock key
  • 11. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen
  • 12. Enter your password
