  • 1. Swipe down from the top of the screen
  • 2. Tap the Settings icon
  • 3. Scroll down and tap Security
    If you already have an unlock method set up, you can skip to step 10
  • 4. Tap Screen Lock
  • 5. Tap the method you would like to use. We will select PIN
  • 6. Enter a PIN and then tap Continue
  • 7. Re-enter your PIN and then tap OK
  • 8. Select what notifications you would like displayed on the lock screen. In this example, we will select Don’t show notifications at all
  • 9. Tap Done
  • 10. Tap Smart Lock
  • 11. Enter your PIN and then tap Next
  • 12. Tap Got It
  • 13. Tap Trusted Devices
  • 14. Tap Add Trusted Device
  • 15. Tap the device you wish to use
    In order to choose a device, Bluetooth must be turned on and connected to the device you wish to use
  • 16. Tap Yes, Add
  • 17. The phone will remain unlocked as long as it remains connected to the device
  • 18. If you would like to manually lock the phone, press the Power/Lock Key
  • 19. Tap the Lock icon
  • 20. To unlock the phone, press the Power/Lock Key again
  • 21. Swipe the screen upwards
  • 22. Enter your PIN
