  • Notifications are small messages from apps or the operating system alerting you to new information

    To view notifications, swipe down from the top of the screen with one finger

    Tap a notification to open the app the notification pertains to

    To delete a notification, swipe it all the way to the left

  • 4.

    To delete all notifications, tap Clear All. Not all notification types can be deleted

    To change the settings for an app’s notifications, tap and hold on it

  • 6.

    You can choose to receive notifications for the app silently or for them to alert you when they arrive

    To disable notifications for an app, tap Turn Off Notifications

    Tap the type of notifications you wish to turn off

  • 9.

    To change the notification settings for an app, tap the Settings icon

  • 10.

    Some applications allow you to perform actions directly from the notification. For example, you can respond to a message by tapping Reply in the message’s notification

    Enter the text of your message and then tap the Send icon
