  • The Setup Assistant will guide you through the setup process for your phone

    Press and hold the Power/Lock Key to turn the phone on

  • 2.

    Tap the language

  • 3.

    Tap your desired language

  • 4.

    Tap Start

    If you would like to connect to Wi-Fi, tap the network you wish to join

    If required, enter the network’s password and then tap Connect

  • 7.

    If you would like to transfer data from a previous backup, tap Next. In this example, we will set the phone up as new and tap Don’t Copy

    To add your Google account, tap Email or Phone

    If you do not have a Google account, you can tap Skip, or tap Create Account to set one up

    Enter the e-mail address or phone number associated with your Google account and then tap Next

  • 10.

    Enter your password and then tap Next

    Tap I Agree

  • 12.

    Scroll down and tap Accept

  • 13.

    Enter a PIN and then tap Next. The PIN must be at least 4 digits long

  • 14.

    Re-enter the PIN and then tap Confirm

  • 15.

    Tap Next to set up Face Unlock

    Tap Start

  • 17.

    Position your face within the circle

  • 18.

    Rotate your head slowly until all of the tiles have been filled in

    Tap Done

  • 20.

    Tap Continue

    To turn on Google Assistant, tap I Agree

    Follow the instructions to set up your voice

    Tap Next

    To be able to activate Google Assistant by squeezing your phone, tap Next

    Squeeze the bottom half of the phone

  • 26.

    You can adjust the sensitivity of the squeeze required to launch Assistant by dragging the slider

    Tap Next

    If you would like to add a card to Google Pay, tap Add a Card. Otherwise, tap Skip

    Tap Turn On to activate gesture control

    If you would like the display to turn on when you are nearby, tap Turn On

    If you would like to customize any other features of your phone, tap the feature and follow the instructions. Otherwise, tap No Thanks
