Using Trusted Devices to Unlock Your Phone

- 1. Swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers
 - 2. Tap the Settings icon
 - 3. Scroll down and tap Security
 - 4. Tap Screen LockIf you already have a PIN, Password or Pattern set up you can skip to step 12
 - 5. Tap PIN
 - 6. Select whether you would like a PIN to be required to start the phone. In this example, we will choose No thanks
 - 7. Tap Continue
 - 8. Enter a PIN and then tap Continue
 - 9. Re-enter the PIN and then tap OK
 - 10. Select what type of notifications you would like displayed on the lock screen. In this example, we will select Don’t show notifications at all
 - 11. Tap Done
 - 12. Tap Smart Lock
 - 13. Enter your PIN and then tap the arrow
 - 14. Tap Trusted Devices
 - 15. Tap Add Trusted Device
 - 16. Tap the type of device you would like to use. We will select Bluetooth
 - 17. Tap the device you wish to useBluetooth must be turned on and you must be connected to the device you wish to use as a trusted device
 - 18. Tap Yes, Add
 - 19. The phone will remain unlocked as long as the phone remains connected to the device
 - 20. If you would like to manually lock the phone, press the Power/Lock Key twice
 - 21. Tap the lock icon. The phone will remain locked until you manually unlock it
 - 22. To unlock the phone, press the Power/Lock Key again
 - 23. Swipe the Lock icon upwards
 - 24. Enter your PIN and then tap the check mark
